Annoying. No comments yet
Well isn’t this annoying. I write up a post, and my blog is super broken.
More to come when (if) I get (take) time to fix it.

Ok, I’m back. I’m a married man, my wife, job, condo, and generally life are fantastic in every way imaginable.
I’m going to retool this doohickey into a more technical blog, sharing some of the fun/interesting/neat things I’m currently doing at work, as boy I have a lot of things going on at work
More to come!
I weighed myself this morning, and I made it. I weighed in at 189.6 pounds this morning.
There’s just something about being under 190 lbs that just brightens the day ![]()
Another year older, another year hopefully wiser.
Last year at this time I made a wish that actually did come true, so just in case I actually do get what I wish for I know exactly what I’ll be wishing for this year (as well as for the next 60-some odd years).
Jenn has made me the happiest man in the world, and I feel luckier and better about everything in life than I ever have before. Wishing for a chance with her last year was the best thing I ever did.
So I fail, miserably, at keeping this thing updated.
Anywho, some random tidbits from the world of jalons.
First, I’m losing weight. Lots of weight. I’m down to less than two hundred and ten pounds. I was waiting to post when I had breeched the 200lb mark, but alas I fail and wanted to brag. I’m getting comments from coworkers, family, the most fantastic girl in the world, etc about how much weight I’m losing, and I tell you it feels damn good.
Spring purging is underway. Not a cleaning, as the place is clean (clean enough, at least. Cursed winter that will never end…) , but a literal purging. The closets are being emptied, old shit is being disposed of. It’s amazing how much complete crap I’ve collected over the course of the last few years that is absolutely worthless. It feels so good to get rid of all this garbage. Old computer shit? Gone. Socks from college? Gone. Clothes I haven’t wore in 18 months? Gandi.
I need to get back to the activities, only 10 days and Jenn’s in Chicago!
Today is a good day.
Jenn has bumped her plans up, and she’ll be joining me in Chicago in two weeks!
So time to jump into overdrive. So much left to be done…
Oh, and since I haven’t posted it enough, man I love this girl.
So as you all saw in my previous post, Jenn and I have started our own site together, and it’s amazing. Well, when an anonymous user browses to the site it may look a little empty right now which is sad due to the amount of back end work and “private” work Jenn in particular has put into the site.
I don’t want to divulge too much (I mean hey, there’s a reason we chose to make those parts private) but let’s just say we’ve got the digital equivalent of the refrigerator white board and then some once you’re logged in.
I do have to say I have a new found respect for content management systems, especially drupal. I finally have a reason to make a site. I’ve owned my domain since 2004, and owned a couple others for slightly longer but have never really had a reason to make a site. I spend 40 hours a week administrating servers, but never bothered to learn the front end side - Jenn’s given me a reason and desire to do that, and I couldn’t be happier!
Oh don’t get me wrong - I still totally geeked out on the backup procedure to ensure we never lose a photo or a post (well, ok, a day’s worth of posts currently, but that should change soon!), but this is giving me a reason to actually contribute something to the intarweb, and not just be another bandwidth leech.
I can’t wait to see how the site develops and grows as Jenn and I’s life together progresses!
